This 1973 Corvette Stingray seems to have been ordered from the factory with one thing in mind.... fun, basic, hot rod motoring. It remains true to its birthright!
- 350 cubic inch non-original motor built to L-82 specs.- Functional cowl induction hood.- No power steering, no A/C, but I did install aftermarket power brakes and all new calipers.- 4 speed manual transmission with Hurst short throw shifter!- 3.55:1 posi-traction rear end.- Leather interior.- Full repaint in June 2017. New weather seals. Garaged when not at a cruise-in or car show.- Virtually new radial tires with over 90% tread remaining.
The only real creature comfort is an aftermarket JVC AM/FM/CD player with Pioneer stereo speakers. An absolute joy to drive, especially with the tops off and Stevie Ray blasting on the radio! It has been as reliable as it is fun. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Did I mention it has a factory 4 speed transmission?! The speedometer/odometer has been broken for an undetermined amount of time and is not reliable for actual mileage (I use a GPS to monitor speed). It is a Florida "mileage exempt" vehicle as stated on the title.
This is my one attempt to sell the car this year. It will not be re-listed. The reserve is reasonable, and by that I mean it is well within the range of values quoted by evaluators such as Hagerty, Hemmings, NADA, etc. It is sold "as is" and no warranties exist. $300 deposit via paypal within 48 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days. Cash, cashiers check, or wire transfer. Funds must clear before car and title are delivered. Buyer responsible for pick up or delivery.
