1963 Chevrolet Biscayne 409 4 speed survivor
1963 Chevrolet Impala Biscayne Description:
By far the nicest Biscayne I have ever seen . Original survivor almost 100% unmolested. This was the car that real race car drivers bought in 63 if they wanted to win races.Forget "Win on Sunday sell on Monday" this car was buy on Monday win every day of the week.
Power steering delete,Radio delete, passenger dome light switch delete, larger pulley on alternator to save horsepower. less chrome and lights that its slow fancy Impala cousin.Light weight rubber floor mat in place of heavy carpe, no door mirrors, small dog dish hubcap, anything to let the 425 horse 409 cubic inch duel four barrel carburetor fly.
Light weight + huge engine + 4 speed trans = factory raceca, the Beach Boys even wrote a song about this car. remember that
5981 miles on the odometer the cant verify if it is original but all indications say yes. according to previous owner it was bought to race. to the track few passe, home. It has had one factory color repaint to cover over the signage on the car sometime in the in the early 90's and a engine rebuild around that time, the rear differential gears have been changed from 4.56 :1 to 3.45:1 to make it a bit more streetable.
This car is a beautiful survivor and would be a must have for any collector.
