1926 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description:

1926 Chevrolet heavy pickup. Documented truck from Nebraska sandhills back until the early 1930's. This truck has what I believe to be the original sugar beet box with fold down sides. It was traded at a dealership in 1967 and stayed in their warehouse until I purchased it about 10 years ago. It is in good driving condition with recent brakes, tires and vinyl cab roof recovered. Wood cab, wood window sashes, floor, roof and wheels are original as well as all glass. The speedometer quit in the 35K range as most of these you see. It is currently set up with a 1928 engine and 4 speed that the original family put in for the extra 5 horsepower to haul wheat to town. I rebuilt the head on this engine and it probably has less than 200 miles on it. I have what I believe to be the original 1926 engine and 3 speed to put it back to completely correct. I also have spare front fenders, the rear fenders and complete new exhaust to fit the '26 single manifold. I also have an extra rolling frame that could be used to make a matching trailer. It also currently has a new fuel tank for clean fuel purposes but I have the original that could easily be cleaned and re-installed. Original 6 volt system, original seats. Flat black paint from 90 years of sunshine and never repainted I believe. Super solid original survivor stove bolt truck. Everything is working as it should with the exception of the starter motor that is currently being serviced but will be completed before sale. $500.00 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end that is non-refundable.
