1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description:

You are looking at a 1952 Chevy 5 window truck. It is in good dry non rusty shape. Body is in good shape but truck could use a restoration or get it running and drive it the way it is. The engine is a 283 with a 327 crank and roller rockers, block hugger headers, new Edelbrock intak, MSD distributer, chrome fuel pump and oil pan, aluminum water pump, new starter, alternator, nice aluminum valve covers, and power steering pump. I do not know what kind of shape the engine is in. I purchased the truck and the engine came with it. I would at least regasket and freshen it up. Has a newer 12 bolt 6 lug rear end with lowered leaf springs and air shocks. Not sure of the rear end ratio. The truck is not running and will come with the engine in and installed with a mock up completely gutted 700R4 tranny bolted to a newer tubular cross member and has driveline but no yoke. Needs steering completed. Comes with manual steering box, and steering column connectors. Brake system needs most all components and is 6 lug drum brake front and rear. Original radiator with no tranny line cooler. The front bumper is in really nice shape. Grill has some cracks but nothing major and shines really nice. The bench seat was stolen hence the rusty chain mark around the back of the cab. The previous owner chained the doors together. Some glass looks new the corner windows are for sure new, both wind wings are good, and drivers side windshield is good. Windows roll up and down and wind wings swing open easy. The chrome interior window trim is in great shape. Gauges are no good and need replaced. The cab floor is not rusty just patched from previous owners cutting for new pedals and covering old pedal holes and different transmissions. The lower seat reveal has been cut and bent over. Looks like a different bench seat was installed. Comes with two bucket seats just sitting in it not bolted down. New 16" aluminum wheels and tires. Comes with 5 lug front hubs seperate. Vintage chrome running boards with some surface rust. Fuel tank looks good. Bed had a cover installed so there are snaps down both side rails. Missing are headlight rings, hood hinge springs, and heater box. Comes with 2 extra inner fenderwells, engine fan assembly, and some miscellaneous stuff. Rear bumper and tail lights are off a newer Chevy truck. I was told this truck spent most its life in Baker California which is Desert. The original owner was Sante Fe Railroad and then purchased by a gentleman in Bakersfield. Driven for a few years somewhat customized in the 90's and parked in a storage building for years. It has not been registered or on the road since 1998. It has a clear California title and the rear California license plate. At sometime a big block Chevy was installed in it and the drivers side inner fender well was cut. Has a good dent in the drivers fender. The front clip was off of it when I got it and I put the front clip back on with a few bolts here and there but is not all bolted down. The hood hinges came up missing. I think the previous owner had started a restoration.I don't know what else to add but please ask questions if your interested. It is located in Bakersfield California. Buyer will pay all shipping fees and any transfer of title fees. Again the truck does not run and has to be steered by its front tires. A perfect candidate for a custom 1952 5 widow truck. Save yourself the hassle of replacing a bunch of metal and just start with this sweet pickup. Original frame is intact and in great shape. Reserve is very low. If you have a low feedback I will review and decide if your bid will be accepted.
