Up for sale is 1970 Chevy Corvette Stingray with a vintage Mako Shark wide body kit installed. This car has an extremely built 454 cu. in. big block V8 and a 4-speed Muncie M-22 "rock crusher" transmission. This car is extremely fast and very powerful and is definitely not for a novice driver. The engine and trans in this car were rebuilt less than 3 years ago and very few miles have been put on the car since rebuilt. The engine was built by long time professional engine builders S&G in Bristol, TN. The 4-bolt main big block was outfitted with 427 internals, high compression pistons, performance cam, Holley 750 cfm, dual feed carburetor with electric choke, edelbrock performer 2.0 aluminum intake manifold, Mallory unilite electronic distributor, open element air cleaner and Hooker competition series side pipe headers. This car is loud and sounds awesome. Transmission has been completely rebuilt along with new heavy duty clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Transmission shifts great. Rear end is a 3.73 Posi-traction unit. Underneath of this car is in exceptional clean and rust free condition as it has been a southern rust free car its entire life. Front and rear suspension has been completely rebuilt including new bushings and rubbers. New front shocks as well. Motor and transmission are very clean. Ultra Western deep dish mags are setup with Perfomer GT radial like new tires. Sizes are 235/60R15 in front and 295/50R15 in rear. This car handles amazing. This is a true sports muscle car. No power steering but has power disc brakes. Car also has power windows. Headlights work. New gas tank has been installed. Gas gauge works. Oil pressure gauge consistently reads 60-70psi. Temperature consistently holds at 180 degrees. Tachometer works. Speedometer needle is slow but odometer works fine. Vintage Mako Shark body kit is in impressive condition for its age. Hood is secured by two hood pins. Rear window louvers are removable and are secured by four small pins. Tail lights are 68 Firebird. This car has a great look and stance. This is not a purist number matchings Corvette enthusiasts car. This is a professionally built wicked hot rod that is light, fast and loud and that you can have a lot of fun driving. This is a Vette on steroids. This car is in turn key drive anywhere condition. New air filter, new spark plugs, recent oil and filter change, clean antifreeze and clean transmission gear oil.
