1965 Chevrolet C-10 Base Description:
65 C-10 Short bed Step side, fully restored, finished in a gorgeous Tartan Turquoise. This was restored with careful attention to detail by me, with exception of seat and motor. I planned to keep it forever and restored it as such. However, I got the track day bug, and plan to build a race car next. Since garage space and $ are limited....you know the rest! She runs, stops, and turns better than new. Extensive sound proofing makes for a ride that is comparable to a modern pickup.Tricked out, fully rebuilt 230cid 6 cylinder with upsized valves, big cam,. Rebuilt by Herbie Whitley, a renowned local engine builder. Head work with larger valve, porting, and a .450 lift cam. Breathes through a 4 BBL Quadrajet with vacuum secondary and Offenhauser intake. About 3000 miles on motor since rebuild. Split headers and true dual exhaust. Has nice rasp and will scoot! Pointless ignition for trouble free running. Tires and fluids recently changed. Needs nothing. Have all paperwork on engine build, parts, etc. Stock suspension height/components.
Included with purchase are Chevy factory service manual, original 1 bbl intake, carb., and air cleaner, and new aluminum radiator, new brake shoes, other assorted parts.
Restored with modern sound system, 4 Boston Acoustics speakers, Dynamat, foam insulation between inner and outer roof skins, third stop light (for those inattentive millennial drivers!). Hidden ignition kill switch for a wee bit of security.
Bed refinished with oak, 5 progressive coats of marine spar varnish. Stainless steel strips will look great for a long time. Side rails spaced away from bed to avoid chipping paint.
