Up for sale is a freshly built 1951 Chevy truck with that fresh from the fence row look that Mother Nature has created.
This 1951 Chevy has that old school look with a modern twist, the truck was built to keep as much of its original patina as possible, but underneath is a modern truck getting its power from a 5.3 LS motor that is carbureted and backed by a turbo 350 transmission and is riding on a newer S10 frame and suspension. This is a fun truck to drive and with the 5.3 motor has plenty power, and a great ride and classic muscle car sound.
Drive train and chassis:5.3 LS motor with Holley 4 barrel intake and Edelbrock carburetor, Holley electric fuel pump, MSD ignition, headers, power steering, aluminum radiator, new sparkplugs, wires, belt, power steering hoses, Turbo 350 transmission with a Lokar shifter.Frame and suspension is from a 1989 Chevy s10 that has been cleaned and painted. The suspension has all new ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, idler arm, drop spindles, rotors, wheel bearings, brake calipers and pads, brake lines (rubber and metal), fuel line, "Tanks" 18 gallon fuel tank, rear axle is from a 2001 s10. New 2 1/2" exhaust pipe and welded mufflers for a great sound.

The body:The body has been mounted courtesy of a Code 504 chassis kit.This truck has its original paint and patina, rust, crust, dents and dings. The cab has been completely sealed up, the floor, toe boards, inner cowl, have been repaired with metal, the cab corners have been patched and sealed with metal on the inside, the inner to outer cowl panels have been repaired with new ones. The bed floor has been replaced with recycled wood and raised about 4" for tire clearance, the front fenders have been reinforced, all work on the body was done to leave it as close to original condition as possible and leave the original patina undisturbed. The old glass was removed and replaced with new tinted glass and new glass weather stripping and new door weather stripping.
The interior:The interior paint is all original and untouched, the original seat has been recovered, new door panels, headliner, and carpet. The floor and roof have been insulated, the original gauges have been kept, the speedometer is hooked up and the fuel gauge is in working order, new aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauges have been added to better suit the LS motor. The heater is original and in working order with new defroster ducting, the original vacuum wiper motor is still mounted in place but not hooked up. The original steering wheel has been replaced with a mid 60's Bel air wheel and a chrome turn signal switch on the column. Electrical:All wiring is new, replaced with a new harness and fuse panel from speedway motors, headlights, taillights, brake lights, park lights, dash lights, and turn signals all work.
The sales pitch:This is a fun, easy to drive truck, all modern underneath with just a touch of old school and great classic patina on the outside, no need to worry about scratching this one, its already been done! The "old girl" runs and drives down the road straight, sounds great with the dual exhaust. I've built them on original frames and Camaro sub frames, but for functionality the S10 chassis in my opinion is the way to go, with the tons of aftermarket parts readily available for them and no problems with front tire rub. Truck has a clean clear Missouri title.
