1948 GMC COE
This COE is powered by a 12 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel, with an overdrive tranny, power steering, power brakes, disc brakes, and limited slip rear end. It runs, rides, stops, and handles great!
This is a super sold truck! It spent its life in CA. No body filler, no patch work, original cab corners and floors. Hard to find cabs in this shape. It is as close to rust free as you can find. The patina is painted on.
This cab was mounted on a 93 3/4 Dodge chassis. This is not a hack job. It was built 10 years ago and been driven and used. The donor chassis was also from CA and is very solid! Nothing was butchered on the original chassis. It has the original driveshaft, fuel tank, exhaust, steering, brakes, fuel system, etc. Everything was left alone, and just the cab removed and the 48 can installed. This makes for a very reliable truck, that runs, drives, rides, and handels like a late model! Factory hitch in place. The truck tows nice! It has been a very reliable truck.
The truck was sprayed in Dupount base coat, the patina was painted on, and then it was matte cleared. It was done almost 5 years ago and has held up very well.
The donor truck has 63k original miles. The motor, trans, front end, and all mechanical parts are nice and tight. The truck runs fantastic! It starts effortlessly, even in the dead of winter. It runs cool, maintains good oil pressure, and sounds good. I have owned it for near 5 years, and never had to do to anything to it mechanically, with exception of the brakes.
New Dakota Digital VHX gauges. Integrated turn signal indicators and high beam indicators. Has working speedo, temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, and volt gauge.
It has working headlights, taillights, turn signals, and dash lights.
New front tires, front brake calipers, hoses, and pads. New master cylinder.
The original Emergency brake handle has been adapted to be used as the shifter.
******The doghouse in the cab could be made much smaller, which would make for alot more foot room. There is alot of room between it and the engine*******
