1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Description:

Very original 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette.Matching Numbers ! This is a documented Florida car, ( I have a lot of historical documents which helps track mileage and servicing)... very well maintained . I purchased the car in April 2016 and have enjoyed taking it to many car shows in Central Florida and an occasional weekend road trip.
With the T Tops its like having two different cars, its a joy to drive and a very reliable cruiser as I have updated many items over the last year as follows;

• New Aluminum Champion Radiator along with hoses, thermostatand new fluid
• New Alternator, Fuel Pump, Power Steering pump and starter motor
• Valve stem seals and Valve cover gaskets all done !! NO smoke coming from this Vette
• Trailing arm bushings completed along with new shocks all around.
• Carb has been cleaned and rebuilt with a Delco accelerator pump.
• Brakes work great and has two new rear calipers.
• I had a True Dual exhaust installed with an H pipe finished with new Flowmaster Super 44's and original style tips.
• New fuel filter, air filter and PCV ....among others, this car has been well maintained!
• AC has been evacuated and charged, as with any C3, ventilation is fair but it comes through cold and does the trick :)

Tires are in great shape and have already been rotated and balanced. I am able to take this car anywhere with confidence as I have had the proper maintenance done that a 39 year old car needed. Carpet, seats and door panels have already been replaced by previous owner and show very well. (there is a half dollar size tear on the bottom of the drivers side which is tough to see unless you are looking below)
What needs to be done ?

• Rubber Stripping could be replaced as it is showing some wear on parts of the T Tops and door frames.
• Directional switch could be replaced, it will work if you hold it in each direction but is not perfect.
• Headlight Vacuum is weak, there is a hissing sound from the headlight switch where I believe the Vacuum leak is. You just need to guide the lights up and they stay up and on. When you turn the lights off, you just need to give the left lighta nudge and it goes down fine.
• The ash tray cover shows wear as its original and the interior door bezels show wear, they could easily be replaced.
• Tail lights are original and a bit faded with a few cracks, they could be replaced.

Paint shows very well for an almost 40 year old car and was repainted to original colors in the mid-90's. The nose has been nudged by the previous owner and shows a little spider web (nothing major). Thereare some minor cracks and spider webbing on the rear right and the decal on the hood shows some wear on the passenger side as the previous AC unit must have gotten too hot. Overall the car looks great but if you want it to be a show winner, you may need to touch up those areas.
