This truck has been restored twice in its life time. The sheet metal is in excellent condition, rust free and laser straight. One cab corner and one rocker panel were replaced. The rest is original rust-free sheet metal.

Truck Details Motor: New GM 330 horse crate motor with paper work, less than 500 miles. This is the 290 H.P motor that GM Performance sells. Hotrod magazine did an article on this motor which is why I bought it. GM rates it at 290 with cast intake, cast iron manifolds and stock carb. Hotrod magazine dynoed the engine at 330 with dual plane intake, headers after market carb, and a HEI ignition. So I set mine up the same but added a MSD 6AL ignition. Mine has a powder coated aluminum intake, and demon carb. Everything on the motor is new- from the carb to the water pump, alternator, belts, hoses, MSD wires and so on. Brand new headers. $1100 dollars in 2.5 inch aluminized exhaust which are ran through the frame and back out the rear roll pan- in order to tuck it way up under the truck, and not be seen. Suspension: CPP Drop Spindles, New Rotors, Pads, Wheel Bearings, & Front Drop Coil Springs.12 bolt rear end with new richmond 4:11 posi 3rd member. The truck needed 4:11 gears due to the fact that the rear tires are 32.5 inch in height. Rear is lowered 6 or 7 inches I cannot remember. Truck does not look slammed because of the height of front and rear tires. The frame is C notched and plated on both sides. New shocks relocated. New adjustable pan hard bar, and custom aluminum rear diff cover. Custom Metal Work I did include: Widening of the wheel tubs to accommodate 12 inch rear wheels, widening of the bed tub openings to accommodate the tubs. I shortened the bed 6.5 inches, added dual rear tail lights and fabricated the roll pan with exhaust exits. I pulled the front bumper closer to body. The ends were then pie cut and folded in to wrap up tight to fenders and follow body line. I installed an earlier 67 or 68 bumper because i did not like the large rectangular turn signals in the later model. I cut holes in the face of bumper and mounted small LED turn signals. I fabricated a sheet metal front spoiler, tailgate and mounts. Tail gate latches on inside of bed with a push button seat belt buckle latch. Truck has a 70 hood on it which has emblem on the nose. A friend who is good with plastic removed the emblem mounting point from the 72 grill, he plastic welded and smoothed the area, and repainted the entire grill.
New on the Inside: Gauge Cluster (as mentioned above), Knobs, Large Classic Style Tachometer (mounted on dash), After Market Billet Steering Wheel (wrapped in matching material as seat).New seat belts and door sills. I reused the door weather stripping (its too annoying to wait for new door weather stripping to wear in!) The interior has a reupholstered seat, door panels and matching upholstery inserts. The dash pad has been recovered in same material. The upholstery installed -which you cannot really see in the photos, is imprinted to look like an antique patina leather. The carpet is a tight square weave german carpet, like you would see in vintage european cars, laid over sound deadening insulation material. Comes with a Retro Sound Head Radio Unit with dual USB and Bluetooth for wireless portable devices. Has Kicker 6.5 inch Coaxials mounted in Kick panels, a subwoofer with an amp under the seat. The base control is mounted under the dash. Other Details
Other New Parts Include: Grill (before customization) Grill Housing, Projector Head Lights, LED Turn Signals, Bumper, Mirrors, Side Marker Lights, Windshield, Dash Gauge Bezel, Rear Dual Tail Lights, Good Year Tires. Everything under the hood including: High Torque Mini Starter, Brake Booster and Master Cylinder, Headers and Dual Exhaust, American Racing 20x12 and 18x7 Torq Thrusts. All suspension components listed above are ne, and many more parts and pieces I am sure I forgot about. Other Information: All factory gauges work: dash lights, dome light, wipers, and heater. This Cheyenne came from the factory with rear cargo light which still works. Has factory (lightly) tinted windows. Dealer installed rear slider. The rear wheel tubs and front inner fenders under the hood are painted in exterior color and sanded through in areas to look patina. The color used on the truck is a brownish tan with copper and flake mixed in, it is a single stage and flattener was added to make it an egg shell flat finish. I had intended to sand through in areas to match the patina of wheel tubs but could not do it after the truck was finished. A lot of time was spent on the exterior of this truck. After all metal work was done, the truck was primed and blocked repeatedly until I thought I had it laser straight. After painting the truck i was not satisfied with little imperfections, and I dropped it off with a friend of mine, and him go over the truck again and repaint it. It is laser straight and all body gaps line up perfectly. Doors open and shut nice and smooth. This truck spent a total of 2 years in my shop and various other shops getting worked on. Just want to ad that a few of the bed photos show it before i sanded and repeainted the bed sides which is why i included more bed photos. i still did not get around finishing the bed floor. I sanded and rust treated it but my next step was tp paint or line x it. I cut a spider web into the floor behind the passenger rear wheel tub as seen in the photos. The skull on the front of the bed i hand pounded starting with a flat peice of 16 gauge sheet metal. A lot of time was meticulously spent by me on this truck to showcase my metal work.. The mileage on the odometer is 61,101. I assume, since the old style odometers roll over, that it is 161,101. I cannot personally verify whether or not it has rolled over. The odometer does work though. The truck runs down the road nice and straight. Rides beautifully and has lots of power. This is a vehicle I never intended to sell. I am forced into selling it due to financial needs of the business that I own.
