1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description:

History For 1950, Chevrolet came up with a revolutionary style that would set a pattern for decades. The Bel Air Hardtop was styled as a convertible with a non-detachable solid roof. The first Bel Airs of this era shared only their front sheet metal ahead of the A pillar with the rest of the range. The windshield, doors, glass, and trunk were common with the Skyline DeLuxe Convertible Coupe, however the roof, rear quarters and rear windows were unique. Bel Airs came with features found on cars in the lower models ranges plus interior carpet, chrome headliner bands on hardtops, chrome spears on front fenders, stainless steel window moldings, and full wheel covers. The 1956 Bel Air received a face-lift with a more conventional full-width grille, pleasing those customers who didn't favor the Ferrari-inspired '55 front end. Distinctive two-tone bodyside treatments and graceful front and rear wheel openings completed the "speedline" restyling. Features & Accessories We have a beautiful two-tone Maroon and Silver 1956 Chevrolet here at Skyway Classics just waiting for you to drive home. It is a superbly restored car that has been upgraded to hot street car status with both features for safety and comfort but also for performance and street "creds." First of all it has the right stance and look with its paint job but it also rolls on fatter tires and 5-spoke period mag wheels, air shocks in the rear and a sway bar, dual exhaust and chrome tips, beautiful chrome bumpers and trim, upgraded disk brakes, relocated battery in the trunk, and more. The interior has been redone in black with cloth seating, audio system with speakers, custom steering wheel, Sun Performance Tach, performance gauges, 4-speed Hurst shifter with white shifter ball, red floor mats, air conditioning, and red seat belts. Heck it even has fuzzy dice! The engine compartment shows well and you can see where a lot of money has been spent on its small block Chevy engine, including custom radiator and electric fan, headers, chrome valve covers, air cleaner, hood springs, and other engine accessories, 4-barrel Holley carb, performance ignition coil, among other additions.
