This was a one owner car through 2015 and I cannot find a speck of corrosive rust anywhere on it. It runs, rides and drives like a dream! An incredible amount of work has been done to the car to make it ready for the local car show circuit. The engine and transmission were rebuilt, much of the interior restored, (not all due to the very nice condition of the original interior), suspension rebuilt, bumpers rechromed, (rechroming these big bumpers was extremely expensive), hood hinges replaced, door hinges rebuilt so the doors shut like new with a solid 'thud', new rubberstripping and much, much more. If someone gave you the car there's no way you could get all this work done for the asking price. I have personally checked the engine stampings and they are all correct and confirm this is a true numbers matching 396 and I also have the original title to go with the car. It does have a couple of small scratches and some minor imperfections in the paint, please email me and I'll send those pictures to you for your inspection.I'm selling it to help make a land purchase so I need to raise a little extra cash otherwise there's no way I'd ever sell this car. This is an amazing car that you'll really enjoy, so I want to be totally transparent about it to ensure the new owner is completely satisfied. I don't want someone purchasing it and then be upset because it's not what they imagined it to be. I've mentioned the shortcomings and would strongly encourage anyone that's interested to come and take a look and drive the car, or send a friend or an inspection service, whatever you need to feel good about purchasing this rare car. I have considerably more in the car than the buy it now so I know this is a really good deal. Please remember this is not 1969, it's 2017 so it is a forty eight year old car, if you want a new car then you might look at a new car, this one is definitely not new, it's a very original car in wonderful condition but far from new.
