1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Nomad Description:

You are bidding on an excellent 1956 Chevrolet Nomad project that needs finishing.The body was removed, a new floor was installed, the body work and new paint was done on a rotisserie.It has been repainted back to its original color Harbor Blue and Nassau Blue (it is beautiful).It has its original 265 cubic inch motor block casting 3720991 date casting K85 (November 8, 1955). It has the original 3 speed manual transmission.This is not a power pack 265. It originally was a 2 barrel car with an early 1960’s intake and 4 barrel carburetor has been added.

The hard work is done, it just needs finishing.It has its original doors, fenders, hood, tailgate, Most all other parts to put it back together are there including lift gate, front and rear seats, side and rear glass (the windshield was broken when removed), solid one piece California frame, original push button radio, interior trim and top bows, outside trim, wheels with full size hubcaps, new tires, steering wheel, rear bumper, front 3 piece bumper (missing bumper guards), gas tank and radiator. All the stainless steel trim is labeled to show where it goes.

A little Nomad history shows that in 1956 there were 7,886 Nomads built and they topped Chevys price chart at $2,608.The trim tag shows the original paint code is 703 Harbor Blue/Nassau Blue with trim code 591 blue.The original owner was in the service in the early 1960’s when he was stationed in Hawaii and had the car shipped there.It was brought back to the mainland in the late 60’s and parked in the early 70’s.It was last licensed and on the road in 1971 and stored since.I was told the engine and transmission has had a recent overhaul but has not been run. This is a very nice original car with fantastic potential.The car has a clear title.
