1968 Chevrolet Camaro Description:

Information I got when I bought the car 4 month ago.Garage find '68 Camaro. 90's show car beginning to show it's age. Been in a Northern Nevada garage for the past 15 years. One small rust spot in right door. No build sheet and No so can't confirm SS originality. Has date code correct 12 bolt rear, 3:31 with Eaton posi traction rear end. '64 340 horsepower 327. Gear drive Timing, HEI, Edelbrock carb, coated Holly street masteraluminum intake, performance cam, no name headers andflow-mastermufflers. Aluminum radiator, Air shocks, deluxe door panels, standard rear seat, cloth aftermarket buckets ofunknownorigin. TH 400 w/ stage II shift kit, B&M Ratchet shifter. Chrome cowl panel, original solidquarters, floors, rockers, doors.etc. Needs roof skin/headliner due to aftermarket sunroof. Manual drum brakes and manual steering. Runs and drives good. Went over it with a paint depth gauge and could find no body filler.
What I noticed after buying the car and it's needs. Has Like new tire's and wheels. One rust spot on passenger door down low in a corner. Rest of the body is solid with no rust in floor pans or trunk. Paint is a twenty footer with quite a few rock chips. No dents anywhere. body is strait. Needs abatterytray. Exhaust sounds awesome, but somebody pieced it alltogether. Part used and part new. interior needs to be redone if I was to keep the car but is fair. Dash has a few dents and a 3" long crack. Some one put a, (what they called back in the day) Moon roof in it, or sun roof.Doesn'tleak but is there. Bucket Seats look like out of a 1980's Camaro, there nice and fullyfunctional. Headliner ok. Door panels are ok but need upgraded. Door mirrors are off a 1970's Camaro.. Engineruns very good and wassupposeto be rebuilt in the late 1990's. It has a Aftermarket cam with a slight loop, plus a noisy gear drive. Transmission dose shift hard and fast, Has a trans. brake for racing or what they call a line lock. Has a Old school tack. Aftermarket aluminumsteeringwheel. Aluminum Brake and gaspedals. chrome Glove box cover. AM FMcassetteplayer that works. Car runs down the road very tight with no rattles. Let go of the steering wheel and she goes strait. Brakes work awesome but not disk. Air shocks work. Huge Big Block Aluminum Radiator.All light work. Heater works, B & M Shifter is kind of funkie but works. Seats have no tears. Carpet good. Car is pretty fast for a Small Block. Over all it's a super every day eye catching driver and with some time and a little money could be brought back to showquality. Very solid running project foundation. Any Question's ask.
