Appears to have satfor sometime and did not run.Most likely sat under a cover and possibly outside. Shipped back to Van Nuys, CA, just a couple miles from where it was built. HISTORY 1992 was the last year for Third Gen Camaros. GM produced a very limited quantity of Z28 Convertibles with the Z03 option. Just 266 Z28 convertibles received the Heritage Package in 1992. RPO Code Z03 (see pic of RPO label) Of the 266 convertibles, 114 came in RED. How many came with LEATHER INTERIOR??
MECHANICALLY Upon receipt we found the battery and pick up coil needed to be replaced. Both replaced and it started right up.PASSED strict CA SMOG & EVAP test!! The fuel gauge has started to slightly come down after a couple fill ups, but I would recommend dropping the tank and cleaning it. Original 235/55R16 Goodyear Tires were dry rotted and a safety hazard to drive on. I put on a set of 2k mile BFG Comp 2s 245/50ZR16s I had in stock. Besides being wider, they look a lot better than stock size tires. Factory Catback exhaust was dangling when we received vehicle. Replaced with new Summit Catback 3" Exhaust I had in stock. Mechanically very solid running and driving. (See Video). No smoke on start up. Transmission shifts firm and as it should through the gears. This is still with only changing the pick up coil and doing nothing else. It seems the vehicle wasservicedand in excellent mechanical condition before sitting idle. NEEDS ATTENTION Driver power seat does not work (most likely motor) Hood Shocks need to be replaced Rear Trunk Shocks need to be replaced Rear Trunk Pull Down motor will need to be replaced/repaired (does not pull down trunk) A/C needs to be serviced/recharged Would Recommend Full Service / Tune for New Owner BODY The clear coat / paint is fading / peeling on some parts of the car. GM had a recall in the 90's on their paint and I have seen many Third Gen Camaros with this problem. Rear bumper seems to have most wear with paint loss, scratches, and peeling. Frame / Body and unibody appear straight with all factory weld points. Hood has a dent/bump from the inside on the driver side.Tree sap on hood louvers and a few drops on hood.Did not have it removed as it may have caused more paint damage in the process. (see pics)Inside Hood pad was removed as it was dangling. The body is rust free and is very straight with only light surface rust on exposed surfaces (See pics & video) Minor Dings & Chips (see pics & video) Conv. Top appears to be in good used condition, but it does show wear from elements. No visible rips. Rear plastic window shows age and wear from elements. Conv. Tonneau cover opens, closes and locks as it should. Conv. Top rubber seals do have some/slight wear and small cuts on some of them. INTERIOR Dash looks mint for a 25 year old car. (see pics and video) Radio & Speakers work as they should. (Haven't tried CD player) (see video) All gauges appear to work (see above about fuel gauge). (see video) Power windows both work properly. (see video) Door locks both lock and unlock. (See video) Seats are good and comfortable (would recommend a leather conditioner on the seats). Driver seat not working and showing wear/scratches/small cuts (see pics) Carpet shows minimal wear and excellent /very good condition for age. (see pics) All knobs, buttons have the yellow markings, which are visible and are in excellent condition for age. (see pics and video) Overall interior is very clean and in good to excellent condition for its age. OVERALL Pics inside storage were before it was washed / detailed.Had engine and undercarriage power washed. (see pics).Even with the paint defects, it still shines bright and gets plenty attention at the local cars & coffee on Sunday. One could just leave it as is and still enjoy it. Clean CarFax & Autocheck documenting miles and one owner. Clean WA Title showing date of 04/30/1993 with 399 miles at time of issue. Miles are marked exempt on title by previous party due to age of vehicle (over 10 years most states do not require to declare mileage and therefore sellers/dealers mark exempt). CARFAX, AUTOCHECK and condition of vehicle all confirm miles are actual. Overall this vehicle is a "barn find" that needs TLC and attention to make it a game changer. Third gens are going up, up, up! Rare car with low miles will continue to go up in value! I encourage anyone to come check the vehicle in person or have an inspection done.
