1964 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Description:

Relisted with the lowered Buy it Now price, so we don't waste each others time! You know what's out there, so if you really want a ragtop 64 Super Sport Convertible in a head turning color combination at the right price hit the Buy it now icon.

I'm listing my personal 1964 Impala SS Convertible, I’m NOT a dealership and there is no WE or US in this transaction (Just You and I).

The car is factory Goldwood Yellow with an all black interior and a black top. It has a 327 / 300 HP V8 engine with a 4 speed shifter. The car has approx. 69,790 miles as of today and according to all the paperwork it is original mileage.

The VIN number41467T308436 is decoded as a 1964 Impala SS V8 2 dr. Convertible assembled in Tarrytown, NY.

The cowl/trim tag is decoded as 64 Impala SS convertible in Goldwood Yellow with a black interior and black top assembled in Tarrytown NY on the 4th week of July.

According to the previous owner the Impala just sat in his heated garage under blankets because he never had time to drive it around. He had the car for approx. 13 years and only put 1775 miles on it. As soon as I got the car I had a major tune-up performed because the car felt sluggish, see receipt for repair details. I also purchased four (4) brand new Maxxis MA-1 P215/70R14 radial tires from Coker, they only have 500 miles on them now. It gives the Impala a really nostalgic attitude with the SS hubcaps.

The car runs really strong now and shifts smoothly. I drive it on the highway at 70-80 MPH and it just floats. I've driven the car in dead stop traffic during very hot summer days and on long back country roads. It has never marked hot and or overheated. A real pleasure to drive and very dependable, I know I can drive anywhere and not get stranded. All of the safety equipment works (headlights hi/low, horn, signal lights, emergency brake, dash lights, wipers, radio, interior courtesy lights etc.). The only thing that doesn't work is the clock.

The body of the car is very presentable and clean. Gets a lot of compliments at car shows, I haven't even detailed the car at all! It has some small chips and knicks and scratches in the paint. The most obvious chip is located on the driver's side front fender, see pictures. Also a few chips by the driver side door edge (old man said he would bang it on his bench in the garage). No rust or holes.

The original floor shifter was changed over to a Hurst shifter, but I do have the original shifter that came with the car.

This car does NOT have any power options, only a power convertible top. All of the windows are in great condition and they roll up as they should. Vent windows crank open too. There are factory seat belts in the front, but NOT in the rear. The AM radio works and it has an FM transistor too.

The car is dual exhaust and has a nice mellow rumble sound. The engine bay is clean, no flashy chrome or detailing here! The trunk is very clean and in solid shape. The car has never been cut up or modified for hydraulics or airbags.

The chrome all around is shiny and very presentable; some of the trim has a few knicks and very small scratches.

The top is in very good condition and it comes up and goes down very fast. I found a receipt showing that the top was replaced on June 29,1995 for $720.00.

The car comes with numerous parts that I listed below:

- Original T3 headlights

- Original floor shifter

- The factory Chevrolet AM radio

- Used rear emblem

- A few SS hubcaps/accessories

- Metal side skirts (seen in the main photo)

I debated buying the car when I first saw it thinking I would never buy a yellow car. It turned out to be one of the nicest factory old school factory colors I’ve had yet. The Goldwood yellow is a very muted yellow that stands out, but not an annoying bright yellow (The corvette was also produced in the same color). The all black SS interior compliments the car very nicely too.

I have a few documents for the car:

- Original Pennsylvania Sale Contract from Messick Chevrolet dated Dec 28,1967 to a Gary D. Stupp for the purchase of the car for $1,569.99.

- Vehicle appraisal report from Nov 15,1999 valuing the car at $22,447.50. Additional comments read, "This car is almost perfect. The only thing that is not OEM is the battery cable ends. There is a not a tear in the upholstery or carpet. The undercarriage is clean enough to eat off of. there is no yellow in the plastic convertible top. He only takes the car to shows. It is stored in a separate part of his garage that is climate controlled. It has all the original SS parts including the tach mounted on the steering column and original shifter".

- Original Vehicle appraisal report from June 29, 2004 valuing the car at $24,500-$26,000. Additional comments read, "Options seat belts, radio, tachometer, dual exhaust. *Currently the transmission has been removed to be replaced/rebuilt".

Basically this Impala looks and drives really good. Please look at all of the pictures I’ve included and if you need pictures of anything specific please let me know! I will try to add a picture of the undercarriage when I get an opportunity. I’m putting it up for auction with what I believe is a fair reserve, I don't have to sell it. If your reading this you are serious about a convertible SS Impala and you know what they are selling for. If your in the tri-state area please come take a look at the car in person before bidding. If your out of the area feel free to send an inspector.

I will make myself available to assist with your shipping arrangements once the car is paid in full. Shipping from Connecticut, 06611, to California is estimated between $1,400-$1,800. Sometimes you’ll get a better deal if you wait a few weeks on standby. If the car is paid in full, it can stay safely stored in my residential garage for a few weeks, so you can save some money.

The car is currently registered and insured in my name. You can confirm through the CT DMV website that CT is a NO TITLE state for classic cars. I will provide the current registration and a Bill of Sale, so you can register the car in your state.

I will only deal with Ebayers from within the United States. I don't need help selling the car and or any other scams.

Check for yourself, I've been an Ebayer for approx. 14 years with really positive feed back. I treat people like I would like to be treated!

I took a real quick amateur iphone walk around video of my Impala and the interior, please cut and paste it onto your browser to view it: Again, this car runs really strong, I put 550 miles on it in the last 2 months and never had any issues. There are a lot of 64 hardtops for sale, but very few ragtops especially in this Super Sport color combination that are turn key for sale.Again, if you have any questions please contact me on my cell phone (203)521-seven eight five eight. If I'm working feel free to text me while I make myself free for a phone call.
