1953 Chevrolet we call her Sandy it come out of hurricane Sandy much to our surprise the entire drive train was ok as a precaution we changed all the fluids anyway the water got on the carpet not to the seats I have owned Sandy for 5 years I have 2 folders of service tickets I will read them off to you if you are interested we installed the two single barrel carbs they are new I also have the factory intake with a new carb. we pulled the engine and resealed it this car has power steering less than 1 % of the 1953 Chevrolets had that option what a difference when you drive it, this car drives great. When looking for the dual carb set up the man who specializes in 1949 to 1954 Chevrolets he asked me for my engine serial number he came back to me and said you are a lucky man that engine is the same engine they put in the 1953 Corvette it was a one year deal on the powerglide only it should run good with the dual carb. set up. I took pictures of the bottom of the car it is rust free as well as the doors which has some surface rust and the door bottoms that are solid the uneven surface you see on the door bottoms are the factory rubber moldings which got painted over I have owned and drove this car for 5 years I taken it to shows I have never had a car with more interest in it. After 5 years of owning this car there has been no rust thru my paint guy said the car is solid but they did a poor job of sanding and priming the chips on the doors there was no protection from stones hitting the body in those days make me an offer the boss says I have to sell this that was my deal when I bought my new 2018 Corvette.
