1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description:

I need to make room for my wife's newly purchased 62 Ford Falcon Futura, so my truck must go. Though not easy to sell after all these years, it is time to move on. I'm getting older, and I don't drive it as much as I use to. I want to get her in the hands of someone who will drive her more. I purchased it from a guy in California in 2002. I was told by him that the truck had about 10,000 miles on the motor since a rebuild. I took it to my mechanic who said it sure doesn't have many more than that after a compression check, and thorough inspection of it. I have not driven it many miles since, just to car shows and week end road trips. So I'm guessing at 20,000, just know it runs strong, and sounds really great. Now fast forward to 2005, and a move to Oregon. It would take 8 years, and quite a few changes to get her to this point. I decided to really make this truck one bad ass head turning machine. Though maybe not a show winning panel truck, I have invested a lot of time and money to make her really stand out in a crowd. 350 with Edelbrock 650, Edelbrock high rise manifold, polished headers, serpentine belt system, power boost system, 700R4 trans., IFS rack& pinion front clip built by Jim Meyer Racing Inc. Lincoln City, Oregon, Ididit steering column, Flaming River Wheel, new exhaust system, Kenwood C.D. player, and new gas tank. This truck cruises down the highway at very low r.p.m.s., stops on a dime, and steers better than my new truck. This truck is 98% rust free, only a very little surface rust on grille, and bumpers. I'm talking no rust bottom doors, fenders, and any other places these trucks are known for. Maybe be ready for some paint, but other than that she's sweet. Very solid truck that is always garaged, and I have not ever taken it out on a rainy day. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, but you can ask questions. I am selling this truck at a very good price for all that has gone into it. Crunch some basic numbers, and you'll agree. Again, ask questions if you need to. I may look at possible trades? Note: the last 6 pictures are the most recent.
