1959 Chevrolet El Camino Description:

Clean title with vin and body tag in place. Newer aqua/white paint with trim pieces to be installed. I believe all are present with a bunch of old hardware, latches, etc. Should be considered a light project car that runs, drives and stops. Slightly lowered in front, nice stance. According to the previous owner there was new brakes installed including the master cylinder and new battery, tune-up, etc. There has been floor work done, the rear pans look great, the front still needs some minor work like sealing. The paint is newer but not perfect, there is a couple minor blemishes and still some small rust holes at the drivers inside and outside rocker. The bed has galvanized metal in place, not sealed yet. Doors shut good, door glass not installed but comes with used glass, door rubbers. Windshield cracked, rear decent, comes with gaskets and used windshield although I'd buy a new one. Interior needs redone. No headliner, door panels. Appears to be original bench seat recovered, could use rebuild, recover. The 6 cylinder does well as does the automatic transmission, unknown mileage, starts up quickly every time, there is a slight hesitation on acceleration, I assume the carb needs adjustment or rebuild. I haven't had this car long, haven't even washed it. Seems like a very straight, solid, light project that somebody bailed on and let sit outside for a minor length of time. Could use a good scrub but still presents very well. The wheels are 15" E.T. mags with decent tires and I'm guessing are about as old as the paint job. The gauges are not working, possibly just need to be hooked up. The brake lights, headlights and one signal works currently. Steering is responsive. I have been driving it almost daily around town but have not taken it on any major trips. It starts every time right away and drives straight and stops straight. The brakes probably need adjusting or bleeding but do work. There is still a couple of minor rust holes like between the bed and lower rear window as usual. New gas tank. Frame appears solid. Lousy pictures, the car looks better in person in my opinion. The color is hard to capture on a cell phone. I have tried to describe as much as possible but I'm sure I'm forgetting something, please ask questions.Bid with confidence, experienced seller with good communication.
