1958 Cadillac Eldorado loaded Description:

hello everyone...after having a long love affair with this beautiful car I have sadly decided to let it go.

this car is among the top shelf of cars that was ever made by Cadillac, with just a mere 815 being built it would be rare to see one at your local show, the body number on this one is 34 and these are rare since there was a very low production in 1958 only second to the first year eldos produced in 1953 with a little over 500 being built.

this car in particular was bought new by Joan Smirnoff of the famous vodka family and has had ony one other known owner other than myself and is showing only 49,000 miles which I do believe to be original mileage .

it has a 365 and it has the factory tri power with correct tagged and coded carbs along with the ultra rare one year only air cleaner.

the engine has never been into but runs super nice with all services regularly performed, I did have the hydramatic four speed rebuilt at the time I bought the car and it shifts smooth and effortlessly.

for reliabilitys sake I have added a g.m. one wire alternator in place of the generator and pesky voltage regulator, I also converted it to electronic ignition and added an electric fuel pump....however all the old parts come with the sale of the car so it can be returned to original if one desires . I had the front end rebuilt with all new parts during which it was noted that every part was still original to the car just adding more evidence to the credibility of the low mileage, also at this time the driveshaft carrier bearing was sent off and rebuilt and re vulcanized.

at the time of my purchase I had new red and white leather interior installed along with a new dash pad from just dashes and it is just a dream to sit in as well asdrive with no rattle, squeaks or any other vibrations or other annoying things.

I have not found any rust or rust repair in the body and all chrome is thought to be original so the plating shows a little age and the paint was redone about 20 years ago in the correct color and in laquer so there is a little cracking in one small area on the deck lid as well as a few rock chips here and ther, but nothing that really takes away from the true elegance of the car. I do drive this car and have made several long out of town trips in this car..one to big bend texas where there isn't much help if you break dow, and the car came through without so much as a hicuup and ran perfectly the whole time.
