One of the nicest 49 Cadillacs available. She was first exported to Germany in February, 1949. Odometer shows 23,000 kilometers and given the condition of the undercarriage, suspension, engine (original valve cover gaskets are still in place) and transmission, may be actual mileage. Drives very nice on the highway at 65mph, but braking is a challenge. We have the original German documents for the import (in German). Appears that she has never seen much sun. All interior, weather stripping, glass, stainless shows as new. Not one chip or crack on glass. Paint is very nice and shiny. Not a hint of rust. Chrome bumpers have no dings and very nice except left rear which is showing some signs of weakness. All lights work except dash lights (have a new replacement light switch that requires installation which seems tough). Starts very nicely and runs and shifts as new. New brakes, battery, radial tires, fuel pump. Runs cool, radiator like new, has a minor oil drip on the garage floor. After Germany, home became southern California; absolutely no corrosion issues. Custom car cover included.
