1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Eldorado Description:

• 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz imported in 1986 to Switzerland with speedometer in km currently licensed and drivable. The original lens with miles for the speedometer is available at no cost; the odometer is still in miles. Vehicle is located in Switzerland being listed here on eBay for a friend. Test drives always welcomed and encouraged, weather permitting.
• Bahama Blue exterior with correct Blue & White interior. Jenkins supplied the hides and carpet roll as it was necessary to completely re-do the trim. Red reflectors on the back of the car seen in the photos are required in Switzerland but can be easily removed by the new owner.
• Frame-off restoration completed in 2001 and licensed that year.
• Engine and transmission was overhauled during the restoration as were the brakes, cylinders and lines changed over to silicone brake fluid. Correct 1956 engine has high compression 0.030 pistons but not a matching serial number to the VIN.
• The frame was sandblasted and painted; new springs from Eaton springs were installed.
• Both Carter WCFB carbs were restored.
• 8.20 x 15 bias-ply tires all around.
• A new complete electric wiring harness for the car was installed during the restoration.
• All accessories such as the Autronic Eye, fog lamps, radio, antenna and clock are all functioning well as engineered by Cadillac.
• The trunk carpet is the same as the one used in the passenger compartment. A tire cover made of the same material is included.
• A custom vinyl bag for the 3 pieces fiberglass top boot protects them when the top is closed.
• A large dealer album with trim and paint samples is available at a modest price.
