Up for sale is this rare rust free 1970 Cadillac Deville Convertible in a rare color combination with a matching numbers big block 472 and automatic transmission. The car had been in dry storage since the 80s and purchased exactly as it is now. It starts, idles, runs,drives and stops well. I would not recommend driving it a great distance without being inspected by a mechanic to change the fluids, check the hoses, brake lines and give it a look over, mechanically though it does run very nice, quiet, smooth and had alot of power for a big car. I drove it about 100 miles with no issues. It does not smoke or have any fluid loss, or,major leaks that i found.
This is a great car for a full restoration or enjoy and drive as it is. The problems I was told, and can see are listed below.
The paint is 48 years old, has very minor scratches, cracking, chips, touch ups but still looks very good, reflective shiny as you can see. The top has rips that have been patched with tape. A brand new top can be found here on ebay for $400.00 The power seat does not work, the passengers door does not open from the outside, only the inside. The gas tank is missing and the car runs off a fuel tank in the trunk. I have since found out the gas tank was removed from the previous owners son when he took the car out of storage with the intent to drain and clean the tank. He didn't get too it right away and somehow the tank was left behind or lost moving. You can get a brand new tank for around $300.00. All the lights, power windows, gauges (except gas) radio, heat, work. The power top works going down but needs manual assistance to close.
I want who ever buys this car to be satisfied so please ask questions before making an offer And understand its 48 years old.
The car needs to be paid for in full in 3 days, I do not care how many feedbacks you have, these are my terms, its not a layaway plan. The last winner strung me along for over a week and never paid, and just stopped responding. If you look at the other ones here on ebay you will see this is by far the best deal going.
