This car has been kept mostly stock with one known repaint, a Pertronix ignition system, a lightly refreshed interior, and modern radial tires.
All glass is reported to be clear and in nice condition throughout.
Inside, new seat covers were fitted over the factory mohair and new carpeting was installed in the 1980s.
The instrumentation, radio, horn, wipers, lighting, all windows, and all locks are fully functional.
This Cadillac retains its original 68 year-old bare steel floor pans which present as very solid considering their age.
Under the hood sits a matching-numbers 331ci OHV V8 engine with its rare early-style center-bolt valve covers linked to a Hydramatic transmission. All have been maintained in factory specification aside from a Pertronix ignition system installed in 2011 by the previous owner. According to service documentation, notable maintenance consists of new U-joints in 1980, a full motor rebuild in 1983, a rebuilt carburetor and a new pinion seal in 1995, ultrasonic cleaning of the radiator and a new water pump in 2007, a distributor rebuild in 2011, and a transmission service in 2013.
