1959 Cadillac convertible, national and state (Texas) winner. This is a frame off restoration. Since April this car has won Senior Car status at Cadillac Grand Nationals (97pts.) and Texas Concours d' Elegance 1950's Convertible Class. There are approximately 2,000 miles on the restoration. The floor pans are original and unmolested. This was a rust free original when the restoration began. Engine, trans, top, electric windows, chrome,radio, antenna, and everything else down to the clock rebuilt and everything works. These 59 series 62 convertibles are essentially the same car as an Eldorado minus the trim and far less expensive (225-300k vs 125-150k). The interior is fresh, red, leather. The tires are new bias ply (show requirement). She was trailered from Texas to D.C. for Grand Nationals, but is driven to shows within a 100 mile radius of Austin. She has won Best of Show, Best Paint, and Best Convertible Awards at local shows of course, but the Grnad National Senior and Texas Concours Awards are the most prestigious and indicate the quality of the restoration. The biggest fins ever, make this one of the most popular and collectible Cadillacs. The appreciation rate is better than a savings account and you can drive her! The black exterior, white top, and red leather interior are considered to be among the most desirable combination for collectors. The underside is just as perfect as the rest of this car. There is no thick undercoating to hide imperfections as there are none. This car is owned by a Cadillac LaSalle Club member, judge, and Cadillac restorer. Bid with confidence.
