Selling my 1985 Buick Riviera 2 door coupe it is an original unmolested survivor with 51,000 actual miles, was garage kept until 3 years ago, and covered for the last year.This car is being listed with a real worl, not dreamer, reserve.
Fitted top-of-the-line all-weather cloth cover by California Car Covers is included free with purchase of car. This custom cover has only been used for last 2 months.
The vehicle is located in Lexington, Kentucky and seller will be glad to coordinate with shippers and has room in front of property for a full semi car hauler. A 500 dollar deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction ending, with CASH ONLY in person due at time of pickup. Pickup must be within 7 days of auction end unless otherwise agreed upon.
Exterior: no dents, scratches, or damage to speak of on the body. The roof, hood, and trunk paint is faded more than the rest of the body as is norma, but is not extreme, and should buff out if desired. The body paint is shiny, and original factory paint on everything except for the bumper fillers and grill surround. The bumper fillers were replaced two years ago with the good replacements, not the cheapie, and professionally paint matched as was the fiberglass grill surround. Glass, chrome, rubber, etc is all in excellent shape. This car is definitely toward the top of the stack condition-wise.
Interior: The interior is all factory original luxurious burgandy plush. Pillowtop seats, not sun faded or sun checked. The dash is not cracked, The headliner was professionally replaced due to sagging two years ago. ALL gauges etc work as they should, including the air conditioning, self-leveling rear air ride (rarely still works on cars of this age, and power sunroof. even the original cassette player work, all of the speakers were replaced two years ago with better than factory options.
Mechanical: original, 51000 mile v8 auto car. Runs, drives and operates as it should Service engine light is intermittent as it sometimes gets a fault on cold starts or low idle but resets itself Exhaust was replaced with a Flowmaster muffler for a good throaty sound. Very very quiet inside the car, with a nice sound outside. The air conditioning was converted to modern coolant 2 years ago New battery .
This car presents itself well, draws attention, and is a really nicely preserved example of the Buick Riviera. I am the second owner of the vehicle, and bought it from the estate of a friend who bought it new. It has been in Lexington Kentucky since new. No wrecks, hidden damage, or surprises. We have done our best to represent the car through the photos and description and encourage questions, and viewing in person if able. The reserve is set at a real world amoun, not a "dreamer" reserve like you see on so many of these cars.
