Description

You are looking at a 1918 Buick Model E 49 7-Passenger Touring Car that was recently pulled out of a 50 year hibernation.
A local gentleman purchased this Buick back in February of 1954. It was explained to me that the owner became interested in the antique car hobby and a friend of his found this old Buick for sale locally for him to buy.
He purchased the car, drove it around the area for several years, and then parked it inside of his garage. He placed it up on jack stands where the car has been properly stored ever since. Unfortunately the owner has been placed in a home and his nephew has asked me to put his old Buick up for sale for the first time and represent it for him.
The car is nearly complete down to the original side curtains, top irons, hand crank & cover, and even the wheel wrench.
The frame, body & floor pan are rock solid and all of the doors & hood open, close & latch correctly. All of the clear window glass is uncracked and in good condition. The body itself is nearly rust free showing only 1 small area of rust through on the Passengers side between the 2 doors. There is no damage or previous repairs, however there are several minor dings & dents in the hood and fenders. The headlights, tail light, radiator shell, hubcaps etc., are all original to the car.
We removed the front & rear seat cushions to show you the condition of the floor pan & woodwork. The woodwork inside the car appears to be in good solid condition and not rotten or soft.
The leather interior is original but is old, worn, dried & cracked. Nothing seems to be missing from the interior as it still has all of it's door latches, instrument gauges & wooden steering wheel with it's controls. It is called a 7-passenger touring car because of the 2 jump seats in the rear compartment that fold up & down.
The original large 6-Cylinder engine is complete and still spins freely but has not ran in years. The car rolls & steers & has brakes and it rides on Firestone 34 X 4 1/2 tires mounted on 12 spoke wooden wheels.
The 125" Wheel Base Chassis is in good solid condition and has no rust or previous repairs.
This 100 year old 1918 Buick comes with a clean clear Pennsylvania Title.

Please understand you are bidding to buy, not to be the first one to look. If you need to examine this Buick you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. The family is not interested in any trades.
I am sure you know that this 100 year old car will make a great museum display of a barn find or it will make a wonderful restoration or a clean and detail survivor project.
If you need to speak with me concerning it's condition or to view the automobile or to make shipping arrangements please call 724 984 1659.
Thank you for spending the time to look and good luck bidding!
