1938 buick Special convertible rumble seat hot rod custom lowrider original 37

1938 Buick Special 40 Description:

Up for sale we have a RARE and hard to find 1938 Buick special rumble seat convertible project that’s 95% complete. Has a clean title and shows CV as the body type. Has an upgraded modern suspension which was done by a professional hot rod shop that includes a mustang front clip, disk brakes, rack n pinion, ididit tilt column, custom brake booster setup in frame, 9” 4 linked rear end with adjustable coil over shocks. Engine bay is setup for a V8 but doesn’t include an engine but have original 3 speed transmission. I bought this car as is 5 years ago with the intentions of restoring it but have too many project and not going to get to it any time soon (my loss is your gain). This was a rusty car so they used a 38 Buick coupe bottom half to restore all of the sheetmetal back to original shape. All this was done by the Hot rod shop again.Trunk lid and rumble seat lid has some rust in the inside corners. If you know buicks then you know that they don’t reproduce any sheetmetal for them. This car will need full restoration and your starting off with a solid body know. I have all of the parts not shown in the pictures except 2 rods below the back of top, drivers door glass frame(easy to copy off of passengers door), and minor misc. Parts. Look at all of the pictures for details as some pictures have the parts that are not in others because of the time it was taken. Car comes with black front fenders(yellow ones were gone 4 years ago) Also has a set of very hard to find big hub tru-classics without caps. Has Buick fog lights along with extra Buick misc parts.
