1971 Buick Skylark GS 455 Description:

Up for sale: 1971 Buick GS 455 . I purcased car in 2005 and restored it mostly myself with just some help with body and paint . As far as I know, it's the original engine and transmission . Some history: I was told engine was rebuilt in 1984. I went through the engine again and rebuilt it. This included: a new Poston Buick GS-116 camshaft and high rev lifters . The car has a Chevy rear 12 bolt non posi with 308 gears . Its has automatic TH 400 trans . The shifter is an aftermarket Hurst Rachet Shifter. When I got this car, the original console and shifter was and still is in pieces . The shifter parts and console parts are included (some parts are missing). When installing the new carpet, I cut it too far. You can see it in pic. The carpet did not fit well and I never got around to installing a better quality carpet .The car was originaly Rosewood Brown with black top and black interior. The car was also an AC car but, AC was removed before I got the car . I changed the AC/Heater controls to non ac controls and added vent kick panels . This is a very nice running,driving car. I drive it and take to car shows from spring to fall every year since 2011 . The starting bid is my rock bottom price that I am willing to sell. I will not negotiate lower. You can see the car there on weekdays from 7:30 to 5:00 pm. Please note this is my personal car not a dealer car. I just pay to store car there for winter. CT DMV does not issue titles on cars this old. I filled out clear title so I could list car. I have had this car registered in my name since 2005 . I will fill out any paper work nessasary for you to register but please check with you state's DMV also. Thanks
