1953 Buick Special Description:

1953 Buick Special convertible restored to original condition in original color scheme. All parts are new or restored. The restoration was completed in 2012 and it was driven about 800 miles since. The color is Glacier Blue. Options include Dynaflow automatic trans, radio, left & right outside mirrors, day/night inside mirror, tinted glass, and gas door guard. The tires are the correct, bias ply wide white walls. Both the wire wheel covers and the standard wheel covers go with the car. The car has a dual voltage system: All of the 6 volt running gear plus an additional 12 volt battery and alternator. The starter, top pump, radio, and cigar lighter are wired to 12 volts, but can be changed back to 6 volts if desired. I have also added tubular shocks to the front end. They are additional to the original suspension and use existing holes and bolts for mounting. They improve the ride and handling greatly, but can be easily removed if desired.
I have found my next project and need the space and funds.
