1976 BMW 2002, vin #2742747: Purchased in 2016 from what is believed to be the original owner in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since purchase, engine has been rebuilt and restored by locally renown 2002 racer Matt Rose of Ronin Autowerks in Fullerton, California. Engine block is numbers matching. Low mileage approximately 8,000 miles on rebuild. Four speed transmission replaced by a Ronin rebuild. Short shifter by Ronin. Assorted bushings, mounts and tie-rods replaced. Sunroof fully operational. With Matt Rose’s expertise, carburetor passes California smog. Reliably driven weekly. Entire brake system was rebuilt by John Rodriguez at C&F Auto in Costa Mesa. Typical, routine maintenance performed either at Ronin or at C&F. Body rust located in the spare wheel well of trunk was expertly repaired by local character, Jon Farguson, at Jon’s Body Shop in Long Beach. Passenger door has small creak when opening. Passes California smog – recently passed this year.Interior upholstery and door cards re-skinned at Juan’s Auto Upholstery located in Garden Grove, California. This includes new headliner as well.
