1972 BMW 2002 CA Unmolested "Barn Find" VERY Solid 2002 E10 Inka Orange Rare

1972 BMW 2002 Rust Free and very solid. This car is perfect to take to the next level, or keep the patina and keep as a driver.
I purchased this car about a year ago from the owner, who had is since the mid 70's, where the car resided in California. He moved to Alabama a few years ago,, where the car resides now and used this as a daily driver. You can easily tell that this car has never seen salt, or been abused. My intent was to perform a complete restoration, however, due to a job change, I simply don't have the time.
The car comes with the original engine, that was replaced with a BMW engine at 100K miles and would be a perfect candidate for rebuild. The current carburetor is a Weber, and the factory stock unit comes with the car, along with the original seats, it has later BMW/Recaro seats that are in need of a refresh. Also included are the factory steelies, hub caps, and has an extensive laundry list of new and New Old Stock NOS parts that were purchased over the past year. Included is a complete package to convert to Limited Slip Differential, which includes the correct back cover, bracket, and half shafts from an 81 BMW E21. In summary, it's a solid starting point with thousands worth of restoration parts, and everything you need to bring this beautiful 2002 to its previous glory. I see so many restorations online where the starting point is a rusty car, with extensive rebuilding costing thousands before you even get started, with this E10, you don't have to deal with any of that and you can boast that it's just the way it came from Germany. Sincerely, you have to see this car in person to appreciate just how nice it is.
In searching for some time, I haven't seen anything as SOLID and unmolested as especially in Inka Orange as this E10. The majority of the paint is original with the previous owner stating that the driver's rear quarter had a very slight dent that was repaired in the 80's.
This is a rare opportunity to get a solid platform to transform to a show, driver or somewhere in between. Mechanically, it starts and runs strong and drives fine.
You will be hard pressed to find this combination of a solid-rust free 2002, original parts, NOS parts/spares, etc. in one package.
