1957 BMW ISETTA 300 Coupe
Original Single Cylinder
ENGINE
1957 BMW Isetta coupe Description:
Anybody want to finish restoring an Isetta this winter?
Long story but, I started on this car a few years back then stopped and started on a British model. Hope to get that one done this winter and start on a different project car. I know I won't get to this for a few more years so why not let someone else have some fun with it and get it out of my garage and back on the road.
The chassis is ready to go. The front and rear suspension is restored, new rubber bushings, brakes, shocks, steering damper, white wall tires and tubes...
The engine was rebuilt by Isetts R Us at a cost of almost $4000 and needs to be installed on the frame. Transmission is not restored yet but included. Engine number matches the title. Carburetor rebuilt by Bing
Body is from a British model and complete. The floor pan has some rust and will need to be replaced along with some lower wheel areas. Some light mounting holes will need to be welded in and new ones made for the US model lighting.
Steering wheel is refinished. I have parts that are not shown in the photos like the steering column, dash, seat frame, sunroof frame. All the trim.
Side windows and rear is included but the front windshield was broken and I didnt get another.
All front and rear bumpers are there and already rechromed! That will save you $.
I believe everything is there but I'm sure they may be some little part missing. I think I might be missing the turn signal mechanism, not sure of anything else
Its a very complete car and ready for someone to get going on it.
