THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new owneris this unique TURBOCHARGED classic 1984 BMW 635CSi 5 Speed coupe!
Finished in "Sapphireblau" metallic over black, this 99.99% rust-free specimen of a genuine European spec E24-chassis SHARK has been driven just over 162,000 miles since imported to California in 1986. The six-digit odometer works and I just added 600 of this miles on a road trip from San Diego to San Francisco BUT the Carfax shows rollback/inconsistent mileage so technically this car is being sold as "TMU" [true mileage unknown]! This 35 year-old classic BMW coupe sports a great running turbocharged 3.5 liter inline six cylinder engine installed about 8 years ago from a 1982 745i E23 donor car. The transmission is a Getrag factory 5 speed manual unit with braking provided by four wheel discs. Other features include correct chrome Euro bumpers front and rear, Zender side skirts, rear decklid spoiler, front spoiler with fog lamps, front strut bar, Bilstein shocks, 17" style 5 BBS BMW factory wheels with nearly new rubber [I also have other wheel options available], black leather electric Recaro sport seats, M sport steering wheel, electric windows and sunroof, updated cd stereo with electric antenna. This special "645csi" is being sold with clean and clear California title and custom black license plate "VERY 6C" and a front Euro license plate too, and is a great find for the Bimmerphile or collector.............
For the cost of the sales tax alone on a new, quickly-depreciating BMW 6 series coupe!

THE BODY AND TRIM
This exterior of this 1984 BMW is in straight, dry, clean 99.99% rust-free condition overall with a nice overall shine to the 10 year-old re-paint [close but not an exact match to the more silver original color]. The chrome bumpers and trim are in very good condition. There is one damaged area on one side skirt [an incident with a jack]. The skirts are easily removable and I actually prefer the cleaner look without them. The power antenna needs replacement, there are a few expected rock nicks, light scratches, some curb rash/fading on the wheels along with other minor cosmetic blemishes on this beautiful classic E24 coupe!

THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this 635csi is in quite good condition overall with newer grey headliner fabric, the sport seats and steering wheel, working odometer and all other gauges too. A few areas of note include some wear on the leather seating, some light cracking atop the dash under the cover, NO air conditioning, working electric windows [sans one rear not working], working sunroof BUT needs a little extra help opening and closing, no cruise control, most of the tools are missing from the trunk-mounted tool kit, the heat is intermittent as well. Overall this is still one comfortable classic cockpit in the BMW tradition!

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1984 starts easily with excellent running engine with great mid range torque [currently running at 7 pounds of boost], tight shifting transmission [the shifter bushings are a bit worn], tight and responsive steering and super solid suspension with great handling and tracking down the road.
