A very solid 1969 BMW 2000 was the base car for this amazing build. The car has been completely taken apart. The Shell has been taken to bare metal and completely repainted, the underside too.
The engine is the real deal: A 2,3 Liter engine from an E30 M3: the famous S14 M-Power engine. The engine has been rebuilt and now runs on a stand-alone fuelmanagement and perfectly tuned for perfect performance and driveability: result: 230 Horsepower. The gearbox is the tough 5-spee Dogleg Getrag box from the same E30 M3, rebuilt as well. At the back is a Limited slip differential from an E30, custom fitted for this car.
The suspension consists of coilovers in the front and rear. The car handles exceptionally well without being too stiff. Ventilated discs in the front. The rear has been converted to brakediscs (custom), pads are Ferodo Racing. All new steelflex brakehoses, a brake for regulator and a Wilwood hydraulic handbrake. Braking power and comfort is exceptional. A rack and pinion steering rack has been mounted with adjustable power steering. Wheels are 15 inch Alpina wheels with fresh Hankook Ventus Prime rubber.
In the trunk is brand new aluminium fuel cell with brand new professional fuel pumps. The trunk also contains 2 full size spares, a jack, tools, fluids and other tools you might need on regularity rallys.
The interior has been fully redone with a brand new headliner, new carpets, new Cobra seats with 4 points seatbelts. A new Alpina steeringwheel and shift knob. A custom centerconsole with kill switch, start button, buttons for the extra ligths. A modern radio with 4 Hifi speakers in the car. Other than that a Garmin navigation system, a Halda Tripmeter, multiple stopwatches and clocks, 12V outputs, extra navigator lighting. And ofcourse a roll cage.
The car has been built to a very high level. No extremely harsh car. This car can be enjoyed over hundres of miles. Thanks to sound deadening and carpets enjoyable and highway speeds to. Comfortable racing seats and very good and sporty ride. The car is tested and proven for about 7000 kilometers through the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy. 230+ reliable horsepower in about 1100 kilograms with a perfect suspension and powerful brakes make a great rally weapon.
