1969 BMW 2002 Description:

Here's a chance to acquire a very nice, early BMW, certain to appreciate in value, and ready to drive!

1969 BMW 2002, built Feb. 7,1969, imported to Hoffman Motors Feb.19,1969,

and delivered to original owner in Lafayette, CA onMay 23,1969.

Older repaint of original Polaris Silver Metallic (code 060),

has a variety of minor blemishes, but presentable, please see photos.

The window tint is a removable film.

The chrome and trim are in very good condition, the original interior is good,

except for the lower dash pad and a split seam on drivers seat.

Headliner is excellent.

The engine compartment has the original paint with a coating that has yellowed,

as you can see in the photos. Same coating on the spare tire wheel.

The car is very solid; good floor pans, rockers, shock towers, frame, sub-frame,

with just a small soft area in the spare tire well,

some bubbling on the trailing edge of the drivers side front fender,

and one small rust hole on the passenger side rocker/lower front fender, forward of the jack point.

The original engine was replaced with a factory replacement engine, reportedly on 8/2/84

and at 50415 miles. The working odometer shows 92934, believed to be actual, original miles.

There is a Genuine BMW replacement engine document.

The carburetor was upgraded to a Weber with auto choke.

All lights, signals, flashers, wipers, fan, speedo and odo are working.

Doors and trunk locks/keys function.

The horn and windshield washers do not work.

The car runs and drives very well with good power and no leaks.

Compression test May 20, 2018: 155 psi all 4 cylinders.

Original owners manual with owner's notes, some early service records

andCA registration cards (1970's).

Spare wheel and tire, jack and tool set.

The VIN #'s match on the data tag, inner fender stamp and steering column tag.

Clean CA title.CA vanity plates pictured are not included in sale but negotiable.
