This 1986 BMW Alpina C2 2.5 is one of 74 produced and was imported from Japan in 2016. The odometer shows 86,860km (~54k miles) which is believed correct based on service records and annual inspection paperwork included with the sale. This Alpina has been kept in stock condition, factory 2.5L inline six-cylinder, and close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission. It is offered with Japanese maintenance records, annual inspection sheets, a factory build sheet, original spec sheet, and PA title, Facto...ry White paint shines nicely and Alpina body graphics remain in nice condition as well. The body is straight with tight panel gaps and good trim. There is one small ding in the trunk, some mild cracking on the factory air-dam, all of which are detailed in the gallery. No rust has been found on the vehicle and overall presentation is very good with clean trim, badging, and brightwork. Signature Alpina multi-spoke wheels are free of major wear and are wrapped in matching new Vredestein tires. The factory houndstooth door panels, bolstered cloth sport seats, dashboard, trim, and carpeting all look to be in nice condition and the car is believed to have been garaged from new. The leather-trimmed Alpina steering wheel and wood shift knob are still present, while the instrumentation, electronics, lighting, and electric sunroof are said to be in working order. The odometer shows 86,860km and a plaque behind the shifter indicates the build information. Mechanically, this C2 retains its original 2.5L inline-six that produced 185bhp and around 180 lb-ft. of torque when new. It is mated to a close-ratio 5-speed manual which make it quick and entertaining to drive. Both the engine and transmission are in fine working order and are up to date on servicing. Japanese service records are included in the sale along with annual “Shaken” inspection sheets. We replaced the timing belt, water pump, 4 new tires, oil change. This Alpina C2 2.5 features low mileage, substantial service documentation, very nice original cosmetics, and strong mechanicals.
