1969 Austin America. This is a very unique and rare English car. Nice condition and beautiful new professional base/clearcoat paint. 1275 CC with single SU carb. Runs good but could use some more tuning (smokes a bit when it first starts but clears up). Body is rust free and new floors were welded in. The car was from CO up until recently. The automatic transmission shifts well but the kick down needs adjustment. The suspension is in great shape. I just replaced the tires. These cars are VERY rare and most rotted out years ago. The interior is in nice shape with new carpets. New English sport TEX mirrors. The seats have some minor wear on the upper front seat backs. The front and rear windscreen rubber seals were replaced when the car was painted. The paint is PPG Base and 3 coats of clear. The clear coat was professionally wet sanded and buffed (cost $2,500)- door and trunk jams also painted. The brake pedal is spongey and cannot be driven in its current state. It does not leak any brake fluid. I have a master cylinder rebuild kit I will include. I just replaced the battery yesterday. The fuel pump is a brand new SU electronic one. The fuel level gauge is intermittent. These cars are very similiar to the Austin Mini but slightly larger. The two grille badges are not included in the sale. Buyer to arrange transportation and I cannot deliver. The car cannot be driven due to the spongey brake pedal. I suspect it is the master cylinder as I replaced the wheel cylinders and hoses last year. I have the title in hand and it reads exempt on the mileage due to age. Please realize this is a 50 year old car and is far from new.
