Mechanicals:Rebuilt six cylinder engine. Fired up with zinc additive, ran 20 minutes at 2000 RPM. Oil changed, and since has been run just enough to ensure all systems are solid. Solid clutch and clutch hydraulic system.
Laycock deNormanville Overdrive: Fully operational, adjusted, and set up for long distance, high speed cruising.
New Firestone tires mounted on Alloy Race Wheels. (If you prefer 60 spoke chrome wire wheels, this could be arranged as well......).
All new brakes, brake lines, shoes and pads. New electrical harnessing and wiring. New fuel tank. SU Fuel pump re-built and pumping strong. New front bearings and seals.
Detailing includes a high grade finishing of the rear axle in case you want to remove the rear seat bottoms at a car show for effect!!
Two very small paint chips near the drivers door that will be touched up. I will add pictures of this within a day or two of this listing.
Interior:
New seats, seat rails, new carpet. Fully restored dash, switches and gauges. Unique under dash lighting and under hood lighting installed. Steering wheel, shifter knob, and ash tray surround all freshly refinished with urethane spar varnish. Dash refinished with new switch back plates and knobs.
New Robbins convertible top installed over fully restored and detailed top frame.
This is an Austin that could be put on the road and driven long and hard, or garaged, pampered and taken with pride to any car show.
The only reason I am parting with what is one of greatest British sports cars of all times is that I currently have too many Triumphs, an Alfa Romeo, a Volvo PV544, and a VW Westphalia conversion......too many projects, too little time.....
Automobile located in South West Missouri, close to Interstate 44 (Old Route 66).
