1965 Austin Healey 3000 Description:

1965 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 - H-BJ8-L/27967 The heritage certificate shows it was dispatched in 1964 but it is titled as a 1965. This is a project, and it will need complete restoration but it is one worth doing. This Healey was originally dispatched to Paris France and then made its way to California and Arizona where it sat as a stalled project for 20 years. I purchased it several years ago and it now resides in NC. The motor was rebuilt 20 years ago and then just sat in the shop, it does still turn freely. The floors and sills were cut out and obviously need replaced. There are aluminum sheets laying on the floors, they are not attached and only laying on the frame. The frame will need some attention, the previous owner said he heard it was a good idea to stiffen the frame, so he welded steel plates down the side of the frame. The welds can be cut, and the plates removed. Luckily, he didn't complete his thought on trying to adapt the frame. The overdrive transmission is out of the car but does come with it. The Healey rolls and steers it comes with a clear NC title and heritage certificate.

Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of Auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly cooperate.
