1966 Rambler American Convertible

1966 AMC Rambler Description:

Nice, fun, rare little classic car. In 1966 only 2029 Rambler American convertibles were produced. Car has spent all but its last 2 years in dry AZ and garage kept since in TX. Mostly restored with new interior, re-chromed bumpers, good glass all around, rebuilt power convertible top mechanism with new convertible top, brand new wheels, brand new Michelin tires (original steel rims and spoke hubcaps also included). Has original/rebuilt drum brakes all around. Car apparently had AC at one time but system is incomplete/non-working at this time. My goal was always to acquire the missing parts and rebuild the original AC system but never got around to it as I never really used the car much at all. Car has the original 232 straight 6 motor and Flash-O-Matic transmission. Runs and drives good. Body work done professionally and painted flat black. I bought it non-running from the original owner and restored it to its current state about 5 years ago. Really fun little car but just sits in my garage so I have decided to sell. Could be a real gem with some additional TLC and detail work. Some things I know: Windshield wipers do not work; AM radio doesn't work; Horn doesn't work; Still has AZ plates and title; Heater does not work; No sun visors (these are out there but hard to find); Speedo cable needs attention; Gas gauge not always accurate; I do have a few extra parts around and the buyer is, of course, welcome to these.
