1974 AMC Matador Description:

74 Matador for sale, and here's the story about her. Was a daily driver until I lost 3rd gear. Dropped the transmission for a rebuild and noticed the 304 engine had major "crank walk". After coming to the conclusion that it will take more time than I'm willing to contribute to fix these issues, I decided to move on. This is a factory red with black interior car. Has passenger mirror and deck lid from a different Matador(yellow paint under the matched red). Had vinyl top that was removed before I acquired the car. Interior is in great shape minus the few rips on the drivers side front seat. There are small rust spots in the usual areas(pictured). The rims are 15" Mopar. All a/c intact but not charged. The transmission was never reinstalled but will come with the car along with drive shaft and all hardware. To clarify, the engine does run and one could put a transmission in the car and drive it. How long with the crank walk? Who knows. the car has power drum brakes all around. The car still has plenty of life left, or would be great to swap interior from this Matty to another. Even a good Machine donor car, but would really like to see this car live on. Keep in mind folks, the front seats fold completely in line with the rear seat, making a nice sized bed with plenty of "wiggle room".
