1970 AMC Mark Donohue Javelin

1970 AMC Javelin SST Description:

"Donohue puts his mark on the Javelin." One of 2501 javelins produced in 1970. I have owned this vehicle for over 30 years and have taken it to several car shows, winning the prestigious AMO American Cup in 2002. The vehicle is equipped with the AMC 390 v8 engine, Borg Warner T-10 4sp transmission w/Hurst Shifter, coupled with AMC model 20 twin grip limited slip differential. The vehicle runs and drives like new displaying the correct mileage. The Goodyear polyglas E70-14 tires have less than 200 miles on them. The engine was pulled out 2 years ago to replace the rear main seal and a fresh coat of paint was applied along with several new parts. The exterior Bittersweet Orange paint still shines and presents very well at shows, but after 20 years the paint is starting to exhibit blemishes. ( difficult to see in pictures) On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the paint a 7. I have spent several thousands of dollars restoring this vehicle over the years and won a lot of trophy's to show for it, but its time for a new home. Due to other interests and obligations I have no time to show or even drive the car anymore. This is a true muscle car and classic, so please look at the pictures and ask questions.
