1986 Alfa Romeo Callaway GTV6 Description:
Now is a RARE chance to own a rust free 1985 Callaway GTV6! One of just 35 and coming to you from the 3rd owner with just over 42k on the clock!The engine has been fully rebuilt with fresh bearings throughout, new piston rings, and gaskets/ seals. All new hoses everywhere; fuel, coolant, oil. Upon reassembly new injectors, fuel pumps, filters,Brakes, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, Milano style AC compressor, rebuilt turbos, stainless-steel brake and clutch lines, heat wrapped down pipes, new center muffler, stainless tailpipe, rebuilt driveshaft, rebuilt gear box with all new seals and synchros, along with the addition of a Milano clutch were also installed! Everything works as it should from new!
The car also received a stainless steel coolant tank it has 2 piece Gotti wheels with fresh rubber to help dress up and finish off the package to make this as turn key as it gets for a very special car! I've driven more than 1,500 miles since the rebuild to break in the motor and sort through all the bugs that come out after a car sits for so long.
The paint is spectacular! Car was fully resprayed to the original color after facing a small engine fire that started from a faulty injector hose. Luckily the fire was extinguished quickly and never got further than the engine bay. No metal or major body work was needed to correct the damage. The car still retains a clean title, however the fire does show on a carfax which we can provide. One small scratch about an inch long on the passenger front fender, and some chips in the front bumper are the only damage to the exterior.
The owner has also had the front Recaro's re-dyed as the original leather was in good shape but had early signs of cracking that he wanted to address before the leather split and was damaged. Car runs and drives great! Everything works as it should including cold A/C, power windows etc.
The current owner is very meticulous with over a dozen other alfa's in his 45 car plus collection, including 5 Callaway gtv'6 and 1 of the 2 milano Callaways!
