Selling my 1991 Alfa Romeo 164S. This isn't your average 164S for sale! This car has been loved and exremely well cared for. Money was not an issue for this cars life! It's not a perfect 164 but a very solid well kept example that is driven daily and serviced on time!
Very hard to find a 164 in this condition. I have owned this car for almost 3 years now. I really dont want to sell it because this car is such a joy to own. The amount of smiles I get driving this car is worth every penny! I'm just looking to down size the amount of cars I own. I am an Alfa Romeo enthusiast, especially for the 164. Every owner of this vehicle has kept up with the maintainence including myself. I have full service records from day one. Original window sticker and documents from the original owners purchase. This car drives extremely well, especially for a 164! Rust free! Small dent on the rear of the car that has chipped paint. Red is hard to match and would rather live with the dent then unmatched paint. Car was repainted in 2011 and shines very nicely! Car has minor chips and scratches from normal use. I drive this car, not a garage queen. These cars need to be driven, just not in winter! Never driven in winter!
Just had the motor taken out by a professional Alfa mechanic with the subframe and had ALL the gaskets replaced, including the head gaskets. Valve adjustment to factory spec. Full timing belt service with all pulleys and serpentine belts. Front motor mount replaced. New coolant tank, all fuel line hoses. Rubber brake lines replaced and flushed with fresh fluid. New NGK plugs and full tune up with rotor and cap. All components inspected and changed as needed. Oil pan was removed last year and resealed with a hard to find gasket. Kuhmo Tire's on recently refinished salami cutter speedline wheels. Last year I also tracked down these rare Recaro seats and professionally installed them. Even the heated seats work! These are original seats for a 164 but an expensive option that most people didn't get! In the last 10,000 miles, previous owner had a clutch done along with other expensive work such has the steering rack, starter, alternator. Like I said, full service history. Dealer records and more. I even have the original gas ticket from the dealer on the date of sale! Bill of sale from the Alfa dealer, pre delivery inspection paperwork and more. I have the service records in order from 1991-2019

No oil leaks! Had them all fixed with this last service done this month! No overheating, runs cool, even in summer. Electric cooling fan kicks in as should. Transmission smooth as butter. No gear crunching. Motor pulls very nicely.
Car drives super smooth. Electronic suspension still functions. All windows go up and down. All lights work. Radio is upgraded to a vintage alpine CD deck with extremely good sound from Polk audio speakers. (Original radio comes in a box) Air condition is charged with a new ac dryer and works BUT typical 164 issue here, stepper motor for the blend door is not working properly. This car can use a set of new stepper motors which I have and will come with the car.
Original keyless entry system/alarm works and comes with the small key for the system. Very clean interior! Leather dash pod is slightly warped from age and sun.
Overall a very good clean example of a fully functioning 164 that turns heads! Hard to find.
