1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Description:

Purchased the 1988 Spider Quadrifoglio 4 years ago for a school project for my youngest daughter. Vehicle was in good shape but needed some TLC The paint was good but dealer had attached aluminum body protective side molding which were riveted to the sides of car. Molding was removed all holes were filled and body was repainted There is no rust on this vehicle The vehicle was sagging and new springs and shocks were installed The transmission worked very well but the front and rear main seal leaked so we took it apart rebuilt it and re-sealed it The driveshaft had worn rubber mounts so we rebuilt the driveline
The convertible top is in excellent conditionThe hardtop is in excellent condition and is included in sale
The vehicle runs and drives beautifully Engine uses no oil and has great oil pressure
We took off some of the badges to clean up the body lines on the car We also took off the lower rocker body kit The car is in excellent condition for being 29 years old. The car has power windows, power mirrors and air-conditioning Installed a tail pipe which is free flow and it gives the exhaust a nice tone
The car is not perfect The original windshield has some fogging in the lower passenger side corner I am not replacing the windshield because it is original The LED clock display only partially works
CARFAX shows the mileage is not correct. The current mileage on the car reads 8,800.
I am figuring that the car has between 50-60k miles. This is how I arrived at that figure.
From 1988 to 1993 the car averaged 2500 miles per year. Twelve years passed with no mileage reading. So 12 years at 2500 miles per year equals 30,000 miles. Add the original 12.5k + 30k + 8.8k (which is on odometer) equals approximately 52k. From my past experience of owning 25 Alfa Romeos, I'd say the condition of the vehicle looks like a vehicle with that many miles. Picture of CARFAX attached
